Workplace Problem Solving

I can help individuals in conflict to
Understand their own and each others’ point of view
Work out what they really need from the situation or relationship
Reach agreement on a way forward

Interpersonal conflict can arise from many sources including differences in values, preferences or culture.
It can take the form of a conflict over facts or accuracy, deep-seated moral belief, policies or plans of action, or perceptions of behaviour that is slighting or ignorant.
Sometimes it can be surprisingly easily resolved by shedding light on misunderstandings; sometimes more mediating work is needed to build bridges between people with opposing positions.
I have worked to resolve many workplace-based conflicts and have found that the nature and content of the disagreement determines whether the parties can meet together, or whether mediation needs to start with each person separately.
As a trained mediator I use a combination of coaching styles and negotiation techniques to help bring parties into alignment.
‘You helped me see what I had to gain from coming to an agreement, as well as what I risked losing.’
‘I was struck by how positive you were throughout, even when it felt really tough, and even though you remained impartial.’
‘It was really difficult – but we got there in the end. Thank you!’
